The story of Villa Dolce Gelato began with a dream to bring Italy’s finest dessert gelato to the United States. Having brought them so much joy while growing up in Rome, brothers and Los Angeles natives Monte, Giancarlo, and Gianandrea Marcaccini envisioned bringing a true taste of Italy to the United States.
To make the product as authentic as possible, the Marcaccinis began by pursuing Nino Ferrore, one of Italy’s premier gelato makers from Rome’s Il Gelatone. As a result of his instruction, all their equipment is imported from Italy along with the natural ingredients required to make such classic gelatos as hazelnut, bacio and tiramaisu.
